======================================================== Note: This guide is based off of 2 Lv60 Slayers (staff mage) on the Thai server one of which was the 6th in the 300 vs 300 top ranking last month ( as the ranking reset in last night's maintenance), The gear shown is level 50 though with its Dragon Jades explanation and their skill build. (you are free to change anything you don't like in your build though) 

Pros & Cons 
Pros: 
- Cloth armor means more penetration, more attack and more Crit dmg. Best damage set in the game. 
- Very good against multiple enemies since you have two main AOE skills. 
- Good for group PVP due to large AOEs (an annoying freeze AOE).

======================================================== Cons: 
- Using cloth armor means that you are so squishy so you have to keep running and dodging attacks. 
- At low levels you will find it difficult to speed level up alone due to the fact that you won't be geared out yet. 


Stat Points 
As for stat points, Slayers tend to go full on Attack and the remaining points in Crit. The opposite is also good if you want more Crit and less Attack. You have free resets so you can play around with it. The same goes for Pipers as their healing skills depend on their Attack. 


Skills + Add-Ons 
In this section, I will be detailing the Slayer skills and add-ons along with some combos to make the most out of your skills buffs and enhancements.

So first I will start with the basic skills that you automatically will have once you start your mage.

======================================================== Magic Swing 
This is your first damage skill when you start your mage, it does 110% damage. If you press it a second time it will lead to Mystic Fight Back automatically. 

Mystic Fight Back 
This skill is activated when you press Magic Swing twice or just keep holding the button down for Magic Swing. This skill does 125% damage and it debuffs the target for -50% movement speed for 4 seconds, which is good since you are a mage you are so squishy you want to keep the monsters away from you as much as possible.

======================================================== Magic Whipping 
Pressing Magic Swing three times will lead to this skill or you could just keep holding the button down for Magic Swing which will lead to Mystic Fight Back then Magic Whipping. This skill does 155% damage and resets Light Energy Impact skill cooldown back to 0. One more thing this skill does which is giving a buff that increases your Crit rate by 8% and deal 15% more damage for 6 seconds. 

Light Energy Impact 
This is the last basic skill, it is a close ranged skill and does 290% damage.

======================================================== Now that I am done with the basic skills I will move on to the main skills that unlock as you level up and their add-ons.

Electric Energy Mystic Bomb 

 

Electric Energy Mystic Bomb is your main single target skill, as it does 330% damage.

======================================================== - Speed Charge This is a single target damage skill, it does a decent 330% damage whilst at the same time having a low cooldown, because of this fact getting this addon will make it even more spammable, spammable skills lead to good consistent damage. the add-on basically decreases the cooldown by 25%, on top of that it gives you a passive 4% ATK. 

- Thunder Stimulate by making this add-on 3-stars it will give you 6% Crit rate more for this skil ONLY, and a passive permanent 6% Crit DMG. this not only helps to ensure the crit for this skill, but it also helps your overall character cap crit dmg, which is important for a mage 

Note: Other than doing the oppersite, you can max one of the skills and make the other 2 star, however, the higher the star you make it the more Skill Points it costs to increase the star by one level

======================================================== Laser Leap 
This skill is a click based skill where it teleports you to the location you click doing 144% damage and heals you for 20% of your ATK.

This skill can be very useful as a heal skill you can click anywhere (no need to hit a mob to heal) to heal you for 20% of your ATK. Though if you do aim it on a monster in order to heal and deal damage it can be risky for you as you will be vulnerable to mobs attacks since you will be very close to them.

======================================================== Since it also isn't so good of a skill we will skip adding any skill points on it.

Catapult Light Bomb

======================================================== This skill does 252% damage, what it does is that it casts a light bomb that bounces from one enemy to another but it only bounces a max of 5 times and each time it bounces it does 10% less damage. the light bomb won't be bouncing if there is only one enemy near you.

======================================================== In the opinion of my 2 mage friends, and on a single target boss (it cant bounce) this skill isn't very good and thus, no add-ons have been purchased.

======================================================== Break Evil Pray

======================================================== Break Evil Pray is a close ranged skill, where it requires you to stand still and hold the button for this skill down as it casts some aura around you that will deal 80% damage per hit, and reduces the enemy's movement speed by 50%. This skill requires SP, so as long as you are holding down the button, SP will be consumed. In my opinion, this skill is very dangerous to use, as you are a mage you can't afford to stand still as you deal damage, you have to keep running and dodging attacks or you will die pretty fast. Althouhg it is possible to learn animations of bosses and know when a safe attack window arriases, it still isn't worth going in and out of the skill, as there are much better skill options are your disposal. Hence, no skill points will be added to the add-ons of this skill.

Fierce Inflammation Enchantment Prison

======================================================== Fierce Inflammation is one of your main AOEs that you will be using all of the time. This skill does 500% damage leaving behind 3 patches of fire that do 250% damage per second as long as the monster is still stepping on the fire, once the monster leaves the fire patch the burning damage will be gone.

======================================================== Since this skill is one of the main skills you will be using in the game, you will need to add some skill points to enhance it. 

- Rappid Cooldown is your first add-on, you will want to reduce the cooldown of this skill a little bit so we will add 2-stars on this add-on which reduces the cooldown by 8% and gives you a permanent 8% fire resistance. This can be useful in places like Hard fam. 

- Burning Enchantment needs to be maxed to 5-stars as it increases the damage your fire ponds do to 350% per second instead of 250%, on top of that it gives you 5% passive buff to Penetration which is needed for cloth users as I mentioned previously.

======================================================== Glacial Fields 

 

This is another important AOE that you will be using a lot, it doesn't only do damage of 400% but also it freezes enemies for 2 seconds. This skill is very useful for PVP as you can freeze a group of people at the same time as you cast another skill.

======================================================== As this skill is very important in both PVP and PVE, we will be adding some skill points on its add-ons. 

- Extreme Ice Element, 2 seconds of freezing isn't going to be enough time to cast another skill after using it, so you need to increase the freezing time. we will add 4-stars on this add-on. 

- Super Fields increase, this add-on is very important as it will increase the radius of the skill which means you will cover a wider range of enemies. You can make it 3-stars for increasing the radius by 3 meters and it will give you a buff of 81 attack speed that will last 4 seconds, which again will increase the speed of your next skill choice, allowing you to use things before the freeze runs out. 

Note: All the add-ons I have mentioend can be changed to your liking and your play style, if you find another one that suits you then go for it.

======================================================== How Should I Gear My Mage? 
The main gear you should really be focused on is end game level 50 gear, purple being the most easy to obtain and a very good choice, as yellow gear doesn't greatly increase the defense you have for pve, and gives less damage for pvp. Although it might look hard to farm it actually isn't that difficult if you know how to farm gold (i will give some tips on how to farm the needed gold to help farm this set below). Yellow set is another option if you want more of a pure pve experiance, this is very costly and you will need to obtain it from yellow grade boxes that drop from lvl 41 + dgn Elite mobs and bosses. 

Note: I mentioned before in my other guides how to obtain the purple gear, to craft a purple level 50 piece you are going to need to collect an emblem named "Hero Emblem" that drops in Hero Dungeons, these dungeons won't unlock for you until you reach level 50.

======================================================== TIPs, Once you farm a decent set of cloth gear, if you have the time you can level up more mages, each mage will have shared achivment points and professions, meaning they keep all of the stat from your rewards, you can also move all of your farmed gear to each char through server storage. Overall this allows you to farm up to x amount of times more gold (depending on how many chars you can make on NA). By farming the basics, such as gold/silver tickets, 1000 monsters per day, quests... etc it is possible to rack up over 800 gold per day and farm the entire set within a few weeks.

======================================================== Dragon Jades 
I will be listing below 2 builds of Dragon Jades, the first build is for PVP then the PVE. But first I will show you the weapon jade which will be used for both pvp and pve. 

Hunting dragon. Iceberg Jade Dragon 

 

Jade Level: Lv45. 
Armor Part: Weapon. 
Jade Description: 5% Human Damage, Tokens It has a chance to activate a skill that shoots an Iceball to the enemy. 
Obtained From: Arena Merchant, 10,800 Blue PVP. 
Why This Jade?: Since you are a ranged class you can't use jades such as Outbreak Flash, as you need to stay far away from the enemies as you attack. Therefore, this Jade suits ranged classes in general.

Jade Description: 5% Human damage reduction, when you land a Crit, there is a chance that you will heal for 40% of your attack. 
Obtained From: Arena NPC, 9600 Blue PVP Tokens. 
Why This Jade?: Since you are not a healer, this can come in handy for PVP (for PVE too tbh so you have the choice to use this or the one I will mention later under the PVE jades section) . if you almost cap out your crit and with your AOEs (multi hits) you can proc this buff very easily. 


Hunting Dragon.faining Jade Dragon

Armor Part: Chest. 
Jade Description: 5% Human damage reduction, when being attacked there is a chance to activate the Rebound Dizzy Effect, which stuns the enemy. 
Obtained From: Arena NPC, 9600 Blue PVP Tokens. 
Why This Jade?: Because you are a mage you don't have any stun skills like a priest or a fighter, you only have a freezing skill which lasts for 2 seconds. it is good to be able to stun people in PVP too. It will give you an opening in case someone started hitting you very hard.

Why This Jade?: If you weren't able to cap out your Crit damage (which won't be possible at the start) this jade is best to use as a temporary jade for PVE and PVP.

Why This Jade?: Summons Jades are very useful, as they do a lot of damage and help you keep the enemy unable to attack you. 
Note: an alternate to this jade would be Rock Stingray's Jade which summons a meteorite. You could get the Meteorite and the Tornado Whirlwind skill jades as a Sub-Costumes too so you can choose which one to use as a Jade and which as a sub-costume. 


Hunting dragon: Jade Teeth 

 

Jade Level: Lv35. 
Armor Part: Boots. 
Jade Description: 5% Human damage, when landing a crit there is a chance of a 7% attack buff activating for 5 seconds. 
Obtained From: Arena NPC, 3900 Tokens. 
Why This Jade?: Well who wouldn't want more damage? this jade exists in blue grade but it is best to go for this one, because the purple grade procs more often, and it has 5% human damage which is needed for PVP.

Obtained From: Open Field/Hunter ClubLv41-50 -> Wind Hill Map, Red Ant monster drop. 
Why This Jade?: it is very useful for PVE as it procs more often, obviously you are going to need it since you are cloth you need to be able to absorb some damage done to you so you won't die so easily. 


Deceptive Colored Crack 

 

Jade Level: Lv40. 
Armor Part: Waist. 
Jade Description: Crit damage 30% 
Obtained From: Eagle Eye Prestige Merchant, 15,000 Eagle Eye Reputation. 
Why This Jade?: Because you need to max your Crit damage cap, if you can cap it without this jade then you can use some other jade like attack % which will increase your damage even more, or even HP %.

Jade Description: When ladning a Crit there is a chance to activate a 9% attack buff for 5seconds. 
Obtained From: Eagle Eye Prestige Merchant, 15,000 Eagle Eye Reputation. 
Why This Jade?: This jade is a bit similar to the Teeth jade that you will be using for PVP, the difference is that the Teeth Jade gives 5% human damage and the attack buff is 7%, while this one doesn't have human damage as you don't need it you won't benefit from it in PVE, and it gives more attack % in the buff. you can just use the teeth jade if you can't afford to get 2, the difference isn't really so big tbh. 

Note: When you identify jades you will receive 2 types of stats, white and green. for the white stat either in PVP or PVE you want to aim for ATK,HP,Penetration,Crit.DEF. As for green stat, in PVP, you will aim for Human damage/Human damage reduction % + Crit dmg %, as for PVE, you don't need the human damage since you are killing mobs. so Crit damage % is enough. 

Sub-Costumes 
For the Sub-Costume you are going to use as a main body part, either Tornado Whirlwind which can be obtained from Drake Runaway dungeon, though it won't be available at the start of the game. Or you can go for Meteorite body part, which can be bought from the battlefield Merchant for 58,000 Pink PVP Tokens.

As for the head part you can use any that you like I will give you 2 examples, Headdress: Explosion Fighter This head part gives you 6% Crit DMG, and its effect is when you are getting hit there is a chance to stun the enemy for 2 seconds. it is a useful skill to have for PVP. it can be obtained from Lv31-40 Hunter Club from the dungeon Cruel Prison, the boss name is Locke chief (Cow Boss). 

The second option is Headdress. Star Angel This can be obtained from Star Field dungeons which is located with the Fam dungeons. What this head part does is when you attack there is a chance for a spell to activate which summons a hard spike that comes from underground and strikes, it makes the target fly. this is the best head part to use at the moment as it does around 400%-500% damage when it activates.
