Sharpshooter is one of the Scout class variants. Sharpshooters use leather armor and a rifle for a weapon. They provide some of the best single target burst possible in the game and are also capable of very high sustained damage, making them invaluable in any group. Due to their extreme damage capabilities, sharpshooters lack utility skills, they have no healing or control abilities.
The Sharpshooter class is a good choice for the guns-blazing type players who want nothing more than to obliterate their opponents from afar. Beware though, the use of leather armor makes them particularly squishy and typically quite easy to kill.
This class is easy to play but can be particularly difficult to master, especially in player versus player.
This guide will touch on both basic and advanced aspects of the Sharpshooter class. It will also touch on the differences between PvE and PvP builds.

A lot of the math/theory and stat section is speculation for the time being, due to the lack of information available on X-Legend/Aeria's part and the lack of testing on my part, particularly with the Penetration and Defense stats.

The Sharpshooter class is a ranged damage dealing class, allowing it to focus primarily on offensive stats and to backburner defense and health; for PvE, at least.
The basic stat priority is as follows, however, do not take this at face value, continue reading:
Attack > Crit > Attack Speed > Crit Damage > Penetration > HP > Defense > Resists
Although the previous is true, upon reaching level 50, you will likely have enough attack (weapon) and crit (leather armor) base that putting additional stat points in them will be relatively ineffective.
The practical PvE stat priority is as follows:
HP (until comfortable) > Attack Speed (100) > Crit Damage > Attack > Crit > Attack Speed > Penetration > Resists (Situational) > Defense
The practical PvP stat priority is as follows (Subject to opinion and playstyle):
HP (until comfortable) > Penetration >= Defense > Reduced Crit Damage Taken > Crit Damage > Attack Speed (100) > Attack > Crit > Attack Speed > Resists (Situational)

Stat Weights and Stat DRs (Advanced, Theory Heavy)
Attack
Each stat point in Attack gives 21.32 Attack.
At level 1 with a white weapon you'll only have about 100 Attack, therefore that additional 21.32 Attack will be a 21.32% damage (((121.32/100)-1)*100) increase.
However, at level 50 with a orange or better weapon you'll have at least (depending on Stars, Dragocites, Glyphs, etc.) 10,000 Attack, in which case that addition 21.32 Attack would only result in a 0.2132% damage (((10021.32/10000)-1)*100) increase.
In conclusion, the better your gear (weapon+stars, dragocites, glyphs, etc.) is, the worse Attack becomes.
Attack is probably the best stat until level 50, at which point, it becomes much worse.

Crit
Each stat point in Crit gives 28.06 Crit.
Similarly to Attack, Crit diminishes in value the more of it you get, however, unlike Attack, due to our use of leather armor, it is likely never worth putting points into.
Although I'm currently unsure of the equation for Crit:CritChance due to the diminishing returns, through experience it is clear that at any level in any gear you'll have a decent critical chance.
While leveling I would recommend trying to keep 20-30% crit chance.
At level 50 I would recommend having about a 45-50% crit chance minimum, possibly higher for PvE.

Penetration
Each stat point in Pen gives 15.7 Penetration.
This stat is both the most undervalued in PvP and the most vague in PvE.
Penetration both negates the targets defense (seemingly 1:1 with parses) and adds additional crit damage.
The additional crit damage part of penetration is extremely underpowered and near negligible. The following is an example of how penetration adds additional crit damage.
EXAMPLE: You have 10,000 attack, 2,000 penetration, 100% crit damage, and you use an ability with 216% damage.
((10000Atk*2.16Multiplier)*2CritDamage) = ((10000*2.16)*2) = 43,200 damage + 2000 penetration = 45,200 damage
Therefore (45200/43200 = ((1.046-1)*100) = 4.6% damage; the 2000 penetration only added 4.6% damage to this attack.
Where that may seem like a decent amount to some people, it only applies to critical attacks, and becomes worse with the more attack and crit damage you get, and the higher multiplier you use.
Penetration is bad because the bonus damage is applied AFTER the other multipliers.
That being said, the defense negation part of Penetration is invaluable in PvP.
How good or bad Penetration is in PvE is unknown due to the lack of information on whether or not monsters actually have a defense stat or if the simply have very large health pools.
From my limited testing and speculation, I believe monsters do not have defense. I've drawn this conclusion from the simple fact that my attacks hit monsters for numbers similar to mages, not vanguards.
In short, this stat is useless in PvE, and amazing in PvP.

Defense
Each point in Defense gives 8.82 Defense.
Most monsters more powerful attacks are of an elemental type (fire, arcane, etc.), making Defense useless against them.
Defense is one of the Sharpshooter's naturally low stats due to leather armor and their offensive nature, making it situationally valuable.
For example in PvP, the simple fact is that the more defense you have, the more attacks you can take, specifically against other Sharpshooters and those pesky melee that are undoubtedly targetting you.
Due to the style of the Defense tooltip (informing you of approximate damage taken from same-level monsters, rather than % damage decreased) it is difficult to speculate how much defense is enough and how much is too much, as I'm sure like any stat it diminishes in value with the more of it you have.
However what I do know is that it becomes even more valuable in PvP when you consider the enemy's penetration stat. If you have 2500 defense and the enemy has 2000 penetration, their attacks are landing as though you only have 500 defense.
In conclusion, defense in PvE is relatively worthless and defense in PvP is situationally amazing.
I apologize again for my limited knowledge on how exactly this stat works, blame X-legend for the screwy Defense tooltip.

Health
Each point in HP gives 127.3 Health.
Health should be considered a cushion, in both PvE and PvP. How valuable it is depends entirely on the player.
Health is undoubtedly better in PvP than it is in PvE, since most attacks in PvP are either difficult or impossible to dodge, and are player-targetted instead of ground-targetted. Not to mention, everyone tends to focus the Sharpshooters first, making SOME defensive stats a necessity.
Health in PvE is still extremely valuable. No matter how good or bad of a player you are, some times s**t happens.
I would recommend, in current content, that a Sharpshooter have no less than 20,000 health in PvE and 25,000 health in PvP. Whether or not you decide you want more is entirely up to you.

Attack Speed
Attack speed is considered a secondary stat, however, it is extremely useful, especially to Sharpshooters, with our painfully long attack animations.
I'm sure anyone who's played a Sharpshooter to level 50 has died at least once to being stuck in Bombshell Blast or Sapping Salvo's attack animation. Attack speed helps fix that.
That being said, Attack Speed also hits diminishing returns insanely fast.
50 Attack speed will give approximately 10% attack speed. 300 Attack speed will give approximately 20% attack speed. This alone proves how quickly it's value diminishes.
I would recommend a minimum of about 100 Attack Speed for all players, both PvE and PvP. Any more than that is likely wasted.
More information on this stat to come when I get around to doing more testing with it.

Crit Damage
Crit Damage is the Sharpshooter's best stat, plain and simple.
Like with any other stats, the more you get the worse it becomes. However it's currently impossible to get "too much" crit damage.
In PvE with a ~50% crit chance, each 1% crit damage is a ~0.5% damage increase.
In PvP, enemy players will have -% crit damage taken. Do not let that discourage you from stacking % crit damage. It's impossible for them to have more -% crit damage than you have +% crit damage.

Crit Damage Taken Reduction
This is a strictly PvP stat. Similarly to Defense and HP, it will help you live long enough to get off a few extra shots.
This stat is particularly useful against other leather wearers who no doubt have very a very high crit chance, but is useful against all players, as any PvPer likely has ~30%+ crit chance.
It's difficult to "stack" this stat so I simply recommend giving it a shot on the accessories and gear you can get it.

Resistances
Resistances are too situational to attempt stacking, however it is worth it to carry around different accessories and gear to counter different bosses.
Resistances are more useful in PvE scenarios than PvP, but can be useful against enemy mages as well.

Glyphs are somewhat situational; your glyph priorities may change based on your accessories or dragocite transformations. For example, you may have too much attack speed already and not want any attack speed glyphs. Alternatively, you may have no attack speed dragocites or accessories and may prioritize attack speed glyphs first. You may or may not agree with some of the choices or the order of best-to-worst; that's fine. However, all viable glyphs will be listed in order of best to worst.
No skill glyphs will be listed due to how situational they are. This does not mean don't use them, some of them are great, however none of them are useful in every situation, rendering them moot from this list.

So you're a Sharpshooter. Some times it's tempting to just hold that rapid fire button. Rapid fire is undoubtedly our strongest "tooltip" ability. It is capable of quick burst damage. However, it is far from our highest sustained damage output.
In fact, rapid fire is an entirely situational ability. The following is the maximum DPS (damage per second) ability priority list:
1) Rebuff (Every 3 minutes)
2) Bombshell Blast (If fighting a large monster to exploit multiple ticks, such as Broot)
3) Marking Shot (If under 5 Marking Shot debuff stacks, or stack duration is under 3 seconds remaining)
4) Basic Attack Combo (If Markingshot is on cooldown)
5) Basic Attack Combo (Once every 6 seconds for the 30% damage boost)
6) Bombshell Blast
7) Missile Barrage
8 ) Rapid Fire (Be careful not to spend too much SP on this if it's a high movement fight)
9) Laser
10) Sapping Salvo
11) Basic Attack Combo

Please keep in mind that is for relatively stand-still PvE combat.
In PvP all abilities are useful as well as situational. There is no real rotation.
The only information I can provide for a PvP "rotation" would be as follows:
1) Bombshell Blast (If you can line it up to hit multiple players)
2) Rapid Fire (If you control the field, or if you're not being targetted/busy kiting)
3) Basic Attack Combo (If you're fighting a tank and not being focused, for the +30% damage)
4) Missile Barrage (If you can get 3+ targets in it)
5) Bombshell Blast
6) Laser
7) Sapping Salvo
8 ) Rebuff Yourself/Teammates (If idle)
